WHAT WE OFFER

A Comprehensive Learning Methods
This program will provide knowledge to learn about tropical plants prospects as raw material for bio-based industry

Tropical countries, such as Indonesia, have high level of biodiversity and often attract other countries interests due to their natural resources prospects to be developed and utilized, both as research objects and as raw materials for bio-based industry. This summer school program will be conducted to provide knowledge for both Indonesian and foreign students to learn about tropical plants prospects (especially Indonesia’s) as raw material for bio-based industry, especially with the utilization of plant secondary metabolites for medicinal herbs and cosmetics industries. In addition to lectures, workshops, field trips and industry visits, this program will also offers cultural activities such as introduction of West Javanese cultures and night of cultural exchanges between Indonesian and foreign students who take part in this program.

FAQ about our summerschool

How much is the registration fee?

The registration fee is 150 USD

What expenses is covered?

This all-inclusive fee covers tuition, course materials, lunches, field and industrial visits expenses, and also cultural events (international travel and health insurance are not included)

Who can attend our Summerschool?

This summer school is open to undergraduate students currently enrolled at a university majoring in biology, crop science, and agrotechnology and has a good command in English

How can I register?

The number of participants will be limited to 40 students. Please follow the registration link in the main page. Applicants will be notified promptly of the results of the selection process

Will I obtain an academic credit as a participant?

Yes, ITB will recognize this summerschool as a transferrable credit equals to 3 ECTS

When is the registration deadline?

The registration deadline is July 14th 2019
